ABOUT STARHILL REIT

Starhill Real Estate Investment Trust ("Starhill REIT") has a market capitalisation of approximately RM1,242 million (as at 31 January 2012) and comprises prime hotel and hospitality-related properties located in key leisure / business tourism locations in Malaysia. Starhill REIT focuses on a single, dedicated class of assets located both in Malaysia and internationally, subject to attractive valuations which will provide yield accretive returns to Unitholders.

Starhill REIT was established by a trust deed entered into on 18 November 2005 (as amended) (collectively referred to as "Deed") between Pintar Projek Sdn Bhd and Mayban Trustees Berhad, as manager and trustee, respectively, of Starhill REIT.

Listed on 16 December 2005 on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad, Starhill REIT's principal investment strategy has been to invest in a diversified portfolio of income producing real estate, used primarily for retail, office and hospitality purposes, with particular focus on retail and hotel properties. In 2010, Starhill REIT embarked on an exercise to reposition the Trust as a full-fledged hospitality REIT, providing a platform for strategic focus on a single, dedicated class of hotel and hospitality-related assets.

The primary objectives of Starhill REIT are to provide unitholders with stable cash distributions with the potential for sustainable growth, principally from the ownership of properties, and to enhance long-term unit value.

ABOUT PINTAR PROJEK SDN BHD

Pintar Projek Sdn Bhd ("Pintar Projek") was incorporated in 1994 and is a 70%-owned subsidiary of YTL Land Sdn Bhd, which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of YTL Corporation Berhad. Pintar Projek's Board of Directors and key personnel comprise experienced and prominent individuals in their respective fields of expertise.

INVESTMENT STRATEGY

Starhill REIT was listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad on 16 December, 2005 and is an income and growth type fund. The investment objective of Starhill REIT is to own and invest in real estate and real estate-related assets, whether directly or indirectly through the ownership of single-purpose companies whose principal assets comprise real estate.

Starhill REIT currently owns the following properties:-

• JW Marriott Hotel Kuala Lumpur;
• The Residences at The Ritz-Carlton, Kuala Lumpur;
• The Ritz-Carlton, Kuala Lumpur;
• Pangkor Laut Resort and;
• Tanjong Jara Resort.
• Cameron Highlands Resort;
• Vistana Kuala Lumpur;
• Vistana Kuantan;
• Vistana Penang;

Starhill REIT is managed and administered by Pintar Projek Sdn Bhd, the Manager of the Trust. The Manager's principal investment strategy is to invest in a diversified portfolio of income-producing real estate which is primarily used for hospitality purposes, with particular focus on hotel properties. The primary objectives of the Manager are: (a) to provide Unitholders with stable cash distributions with potential for sustainable growth, principally from the ownership of properties; and (b) to enhance long-term Unit value. The Manager uses operating, acquisition, capital management and financing strategies to pursue Starhill REIT's business objectives.
